Environmental Policy

SWI recognizes its responsibility as a global corporate citizen and is committed to keeping the environmental impact of our day-to-day operations to a minimum. This is accomplished by incorporating our environmental policy as part of our standard business practices.

Our Commitment to the Environment

  • Be vigilant regarding our impact on the global environment and how we can continuously reduce that impact
  • Measure and offset our impact on the environment, so we have an overall net impact of zero
  • Provide access to information to help others reduce their impact on the environment

To achieve these objectives, SWI is implementing a set of initiatives that contribute to practical solutions to the world's complex and challenging environmental problems.

The Carbon Neutrality Project

SWI has achieved carbon neutrality for its operations by successfully implementing the following carbon neutrality framework:

  • Step 1 – Determine annual carbon footprint
  • Step 2 – Implement carbon reduction measures
  • Step 3 – Purchase carbon offsets
  • Step 4 – Verify carbon neutrality
  • Step 5 – Communicate and educate

Responsible Purchasing

SWI strives to make purchasing decisions that have less impact on the environment and also achieve savings in areas such as electricity consumption, maintenance costs and space utilization.
