SWI completes profile based access system enhancements project
Toronto, June 2, 2010 –Systemware Innovation (SWI) has successfully completed system access enhancements that allow its client, a major Ontario power utility, to manage their staff access via a profile based access system. The system groups users together for the purpose of assigning or removing a common set of system access entitlements. Users are automatically assigned profiles based on their current assigned role within the organization. These profiles simplify system access and security management by assigning access to groups of users based on a common set of role attributes rather than assigning specific access to each individual. SWI team members were key contributors to this project providing expertise in project management, business analysis, software development and verification.

SWI develops a leading edge remote manipulator software
Toronto, May 31, 2010 –Systemware Innovation (SWI) has successfully developed control software for an innovative manipulator to detect areas of Flow-Assisted Corrosion under weld caps in feeder pipes, something which has never been done before. The client, a large nuclear operator, had developed a novel tomographic mathematical technique to use ultrasonic imaging to construct outer diameter (OD) and inner diameter (ID) profiles of reactor feeder pipes. The client’s successful incorporation of this concept into analysis software to image the feeder pipe surfaces led to the creation of a project to develop a remote manipulator to do full 360 degree feeder pipe inspection scans.
